2012's Inc. 500/5000 Revealed

Once again, Inc. magazine has assembled and announced its list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the U.S., the top 500 of which are featured in this month’s issue, which hit newsstands on August 21. Honorees will be recognized more formally at the Inc. 500/5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony in Phoenix, Ariz. on October 3-5, 2012.

Topping this year’s list is Unified Payments, a payment processing company that can boast an astounding three-year growth rate of well over 23,000 percent, contributing to the overall list’s record-breaking median growth rate of 1,436 percent. That’s right. Despite all the economic gloom and doom, this year’s 5000 have managed to thrive beautifully, achieving the highest cumulative expansion numbers in the list’s now three-plus decades of history.
