The debate about whether or not home-based or other small business opportunity or franchise owners could benefit from using an iPad or another similar device to run their operations more smoothly and efficiently is quickly becoming a nonstarter. According to findings from The Business Journals’ new national study among small and mid-sized business (SMB) owners, use of the iPad and other mobile devices has grown exponentially in the past year alone.
In fact, the study found that usage of the iPad in particular grew from just nine percent in 2010 to 34 percent in 2011, making it by far the fastest growing technology in the SMB business sector. Additionally, the survey findings indicate that product familiarity is incredibly high at 75 percent, which is most impressive when you consider the iPad has only been around since 2010.
